Palm Oil Will Be The Best Commodity Of Indonesia

SEKADAU - Potential revenue Sekadau District of plantation sector is promising. Especially in the District are a number of oil palm plantation company has been building a processing plant Crude Palm Oil (CPO).

"Oil producing regions could profit sharing from the center but not the tax group," said Zakaria Omar, Head of Department of Revenue (Revenue) Sekadau District, recently.

During this time, says Zakaria, palm land transactions per plot (two hectares) is just around Rp30 million. Therefore there is no revenue to the local treasury through the cost of acquiring land rights and buildings (BPHTB). Whereas, the transactions of more than Rp60 million new BPHTB imposed.

"But the transaction is dominant in Sekadau palm land. Well if other companies make transactions over Rp60 million, which is outside of transactions per parcel oil, will be charged BPHTB, "he said.

Earlier PT Parna Mas Agro LG International has begun construction of palm oil mill with a capacity of 45-90 tons per hour. The plant is targeted to operate at the end of 2012.

"In addition to the solution of unemployment and isolation, the plant is expected to increase the local treasury through a great deal," said Zakaria.
